The first step that you will want to take when it comes planning your vacation to Saint Marteen is to make reservations at a hotel that will suit your needs perfectly. In this regard, there are many options available to you when it comes to hotels and resorts in Saint Marteen.

When it comes to hotels and resorts on Saint Marteen, there are some of the most luxurious properties to be found anywhere in the world. As an aside, on Saint Marteen the costs of lodging at these types of properties are less expensive than what you would find a similar properties in other places around the world.

Beyond these four and five star hotels and resorts, there are also more affordable accommodations available to you on Saint Marteen as well. These more affordable properties actually come complete with all of the latest amenities to ensure that your stay is marvelous.

Of course, the next step that you will want to take when it comes to booking your trip to Saint Marteen is to schedule a flight. There are many different, major airlines that serve the island each and every day. The major airport is located on the Dutch side of the island. (The island is split between the Ditch and the French.) In addition, there is a smaller airport on the French side of the island as well.

(As an aside, it is important to note that technically speaking, "Saint Marteen" really is the moniker given by the Dutch to their side of the island. However, in common parlance, this name as well as St. Martin oftentimes is used to refer to the entire island, Dutch and French sides alike.)

Finally, in advance of your trip you will want to take the time to make reservations for different activities that you might like to participate in while you are on the island of Saint Marteen. For example, if you are interested in scuba diving or some other type of water sport, you will want to make reservations in advance of leaving for Saint Marteen to ensure that you do have a space reserved. You need to keep in mind that space fills up quickly for different activities that you can participate in while on the island of Saint Marteen.
